The successful collaboration with FC Bayern Munich demonstrates that ASB has established itself as a leading provider of revolutionary sports flooring systems. With their latest partnership with FC Bayern, they are proving their market leadership once again. As a result, their innovative glass floor will now be permanently installed at BMW Park.

ASB Glassfloor are redefining the possibilities of sports flooring solutions by combining innovation with traditional craftsmanship to create state of the art floors. Starting with the transformation of squash, ASB developed the world’s most advanced sports floor. Their mission is clear: to reshape the world of indoor sports. Their goal is to define sports environments that not only inspire athletes, but also enhance the spectator experience and set new standards in versatility and performance.

And that is exactly what they have brilliantly achieved at BMW Park for FC Bayern Munich. For the new season, FC Bayern will be the first event location in the world to offer a full LED video sports floor, making it the largest permanently installed video glass floor in the world with an area of around 580 square meters.

This means that all BBL home games will be played on the innovative high-tech glass floor in future. The historic arena in Munich-Sendling, originally built for the 1972 Olympic basketball tournament, will thus be permanently transformed into a modern adventure park. Thanks to the work of ABS Glassfloor, BMW Park will not only become the versatile Bundesliga home of the Bayern basketball team and Herrsching’s first division volleyball team, but also a unique event location where corporate presentations, music and entertainment shows can take place alongside sporting events. This new dimension is made possible by the glass surface of the court and the millions of LEDs installed underneath. In combination with the specially developed “GlassCourt OS” software platform,

ASB GlassFloor offers a revolutionary visual experience. Particularly impressive are the animations during BBL home games, which are presented during run-in shows, at half-time and during breaks in play. During the game, game data such as scores or statistics can also be displayed directly on the field, providing additional added value for spectators. The ASB GlassFloor also offers athletes numerous innovative advantages. For example, the elastic glass surface is particularly easy on the joints, while ceramic dots baked into the glass ensure optimum grip and prevent burn injuries. Another plus point is the advanced training options: The ASB GlassFloor enables real-time positional data to be integrated directly into the pitch, allowing running speeds and positions to be precisely analyzed. During test matches, an AI provides players with optimal passing options or the best defensive position in real time. This immediate feedback during training significantly improves performance, as the data is available directly on the pitch and does not have to be analyzed later in feedback sessions with the coach.
