Thomas Goetzmann

After training as a banker, Thomas Götzmann completed a degree in business administration. This was followed by positions as a corporate client advisor at a major German bank – including at a branch in London – and later as CFO of a global service provider in the pharmaceutical industry. Thomas Götzmann is Managing Director of the sole shareholder of Abacus alpha, Jacob und Johannes Klein GmbH, and has been part of the management team of Abacus alpha GmbH since 2010. In addition to management, his main areas of activity include the support and negotiation of M&A transactions.
In his role as investment manager, he contributes his extensive financial expertise to the analysis and structuring of new investments – particularly with a view to economic viability and long-term scalability.
As an investment manager, he currently looks after the companies Abacus Experten GmbH, ASB Systembau Horst Babinsky GmbH, ASB Rental Solutions GmbH and Ludwig Heuse GmbH. His close, strategic cooperation with the portfolio companies is characterized by reliability, economic foresight and a deep understanding of the operational requirements of SMEs.
In his private life, he enjoys reading a good book, playing golf or tennis and relaxing on his daily walk with his dog.
