Frank Hüther

After studying business administration in Mainz and Mannheim, Frank Hüther began his professional career as a trainee at an industrial association. He then took on responsibility in his parents’ company in mechanical and plant engineering and industrial services. After selling the company to a strategic investor, he gained further experience as a business unit manager and member of the management board in the corporate environment – including as part of numerous M&A transactions. This was followed by the management of an industrial association, which was also represented by a branch in China.

Frank Hüther joined Abacus alpha in 2014 as Head of Marketing & Sales and Investment Manager. He has been Managing Director since October 2016 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic direction ever since.

In this role, he is responsible for portfolio management, is the central point of contact for the managers of the portfolio companies and is committed to implementing the strategic objectives of Abacus alpha as a holding company. He also actively represents the company externally. To this day, he is also involved in his own entrepreneurial activities. In addition to his professional activities, Frank Hüther is also an active volunteer.

In his free time, he finds balance in a bit of sport – with more pleasure than ambition – cooking and in the world of literature. He appreciates cultural experiences such as theater, opera and cabaret and enjoys spending time with his family.
