Dr. Christina Jacob
Chief Communications Officer
Christina Jacob has a doctorate in chemistry and, after additional training as a public relations consultant, started her career at the plastics trade association before switching to the corporate side. There she gained international industry and management experience as a PR manager, press spokesperson and communications officer and was responsible for communications for leading consumer goods manufacturers such as Procter & Gamble and Coca-Cola.
In the mid-2000s, she switched to the agency side as a strategic consultant and founded her own communications agency SMART PR GmbH with the emergence of the then new discipline of social media. With the sale of SMART PR GmbH to Abacus alpha in 2023, the focus of her work changed again.
Today, she advises portfolio companies within the Abacus Group on the strategic direction of their communication and provides support in the craft of press relations, PR and social media communication.
Her furry friend Holly, a pretty Labradoodle, is always at her side.
